What are relics?

The Church of Saint Mary in the City and Diocese of Bismarck, North Dakota.
To one and all who read these letters, grace and peace from God, our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

We make faith and testify that the Altar of Sacrifice, in the Church of Saint Mary the Immaculate Conception, in the City and Dioces of Bismarck, was Consecrated to the worship of God and Dedicated according to the Rite of the Roman Catholic Church, the depostion of these relics have taken place before the dedication

from the bones of Saint Bartholmew, apostle
from the bones of Saint Benedict, abbot
from the body of Pope Saint Pius X
                          from the body of Saint Therese of the Child Jesus, virgin and Doctor      (of Lisieux, "Little Flower")
from the body of Saint Maria Goretti, virgin and martyr
from the bones of Saint Victor, martyr
from the bones of Saint Othmar, abbot

                                         Given at Bismarck in the day of said Dedication,                                                      the 26th day of the munth of July, in the Year of Our Lord 1998
